Number 1's of 1981
The year started with a whimper a st Winifreds School choir whimper
but by early January the late John lennon was back at the top spot
with eternal classic Imagine. February 1981 saw a rare chart event
when John Lennon was replaced at number one by John Lennon. From
memory we think John Lennon's women was one of the two records that
held Ultravox's Vienna to the number two position. The other track
was Joe Dolce with shuddap you face, they dont make classics tracks
like that anymore (thankfully).
